 My dad turned the family barbequing over to me at the age of 9. I would hang around the barbeque pit and assist him every time he would fire up the grill. Eventually, I knew when to baste, flip and when the meats were done. My mother would prep the meats for the barbeque and send me out back to get the barbeque grill ready and then load me down with the meats to put on the grill in our backyard. After awhile, I was known throughout the neighborhood as the young "Jones Family Barbeque Cook", I liked hearing "umm" this is good. I have had a passion for cooking ever since. I learned about big pit cooking at my first barbeque Restaurant ( Steve's Barbeque ) in 1989 after leaving a local refinery employee cafeteria where I worked as a cook for eight and half years. I've learned a lot about real barbeque. And now, it's all in the smoker. Nice and slow, tender and juicy. All home made, ready to eat and finger lick'n good Louisiana Barbeque!!!
